Should you MOT your classic import?

The MOT exemption rules have opened up the floodgates for some pristine classic cars finding their way into the UK.

We register hundreds of classic cars each year and if you need assistance please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

One thing we would recommend though, MOT test your classic car. More often than not during the process of importing classic cars, you are bound to get an inspection.

The rules state that you don’t have to have an MOT – but if your car doesn’t pass an MOT is it really that safe to drive on the roads? Even though you don’t need an MOT for an exempt car it makes the process of registering one easier.

Whilst classic imports from abroad are usually in relatively good condition they’re still old. So it’s also good reassurance that your classic is safe to enjoy on a Sunday morning drive.

If you are looking for a company that knows how to register classic cars then don’t hesitate to fill in our quote request form.
